To mark his 30th year in business, the founder of Ai Design was looking to give the company a brand identity update. Not redesign the logo, but come up with a new image that could be used across all external communications from social media to client presentations to media press releases. While Ai had historically used feature project vehicles in its images, we offered something different: no vehicles at all. Our concept was to embrace the facility as a sort of secret skunkworks…where something wild was about to emerge. We rented a lift and shot a series of photos through late afternoon into early evening, compositing them into one hero image and adding in the proper headlight glow to signify a car about to exit. We then added a new tagline which embraces the company ethos.
